WEEKLY JOURNAL

This week was a fulfilling and eventful period during my teaching practice. I had the opportunity to engage with students through both academic and co-curricular activities, enhancing my teaching experience and professional development.

Classroom Teaching

I continued my regular classroom teaching, focusing on delivering lessons effectively while ensuring student participation. I employed various strategies to make the lessons interactive, including the use of charts, group discussions, and questioning techniques. I also provided well-structured notes and follow-up activities to reinforce the learning objectives of the topics covered. Students responded positively and participated with enthusiasm.

Vijayolsavam

I was specifically involved in decorating the venue, planning the layout, and assisting in the coordination of events. This experience helped me understand the importance of teamwork, time management, and aesthetics in organizing school events.

Student Engagement

In addition to regular lessons, I focused on encouraging creativity and critical thinking through classroom activities. I designed worksheets and tasks that catered to different learning styles, ensuring inclusivity and engagement. I also made sure to clarify students’ doubts and provide individual support where needed.

Reflection

Overall, this week allowed me to grow both as a teacher and as an organizer. Balancing academics and co-curricular duties was a learning experience. It strengthened my classroom management skills, boosted my confidence, and reminded me of the multi-faceted role a teacher plays in school life.
